WatchGuard's Mobile User VPN software offers telecommuters and traveling employees a safe and secure way to access the corporate network from their home computers and laptops. The WatchGuard System Manager software makes managing the VPN policies and the identities of remote users easy for network administrators. An administrator simply creates a security policy configuration and distributes it along with the Mobile User VPN software to each telecommuter. After the software is installed on the telecommuter's computer, they have a secure way to access corporate resources. The VPN uses IPSec with DES or 3DES-CBC to encrypt incoming traffic, and MD5 or SHA-1 to authenticate data packets. The software also includes a personal firewall to prevent unauthorized users from gaining access to a secure corporate network through a telecommuter's computer. The Mobile User VPN software runs on any Windows 95/98/2000 or Windows NT 4.0 workstation. This license is meant for Watchguard Firebox 500/700/1000/2500/4500/X500/X700/X1000/X2500.
