| With the addition of the GDL 30/30A weather data receiver and a partnership with XM WX Satellite Weather, Garmin is proud to bring real-time graphical weather data coverage of the United States (except Alaska and Hawaii) directly to Garmin marine chartplotters. The GDL 30 is a marine weather satellite receiver that is also compatible with the new Garmin high-speed Marine Network.The GDL 30 is designed to receive continuous data transmissions from the XM satellite system. When used in conjunction with a GPSMAP 3006C or GPSMAP 3010C marine chartplotter (marine network products), the GDL 30 delivers a variety of real-time graphical NEXRAD weather data. The GDL 30A model additionally provides over 120 channels of XM Satellite Radio. A paid subscription to XM Radio will be required to receive these services. Subscriptions will be serviced by XM Satellite Radio; instructions included with hardware purchase. |
